The Covid-19 pandemic has hit almost everywhere in the world and that of course does not exclude The Villages, FL. In Sumter County, the oldest average age county in the Country, we have had a lower per capita infection rate than the majority of the major populated states.

That uniqueness also is reflected in the low inventory of homes. While the majority of the country show a decrease in real estate sales, our area is up…. way up.

As you can see, our current inventory is 2 months. The average is much longer. And these are the statistics from July, normally a slower month for sales.

What is different is that we have an abundant of buyers from areas they don’t want to be quarantined in. If they are limited in their travel, they want to be here is the sun and the fun. We have even had a large amount buying site unseen with mail away closings.

If you are thinking about selling, the time could not be better. If you are looking to buy, you need to get going because there may not be good options left.
