Sunny Saturday in The Villages ·
Let’s just start by saying that this morning was a cold one. Only 43 so not as bad as last week but still cold anyhow. Since it is Saturday, it is a Denny’s day. In case you didn’t, Denny’s had a great $5.99 special for 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 bacon, and 2 sausages for only $5.99. The coffee was an extra $2.50 but
Have 2 of my old high school and elementary school friends who got married visiting. They both came down with the flu but a quick trip to the urgent clinic and they are getting back to normal. So now it is time to show why we love the Villages so much. We will start with the 3 different Villages tour. They are really 3 separate community squares with movie theaters, bowling alleys, shopping, restaurants and daily free music. On different days, they have like flee market tents. Since today is Saturday, Spanish Springs center has a fruit and vegetable market where the local farmers sell their goods. Always fresh and always great.
Later, maybe a first run movie for $8.50 a ticket. The morning shows are even sub-titled.
If the weather holds, them I think we will go to Sumter Landing, which is the village near my home. They have a Hagen Daz store and take a walk on the pier with our dog. BTW, this is a dog and cat-friendly place. Tomorrow, we to go to the dog park in the AM. The dogs love the cold weather, even they get cold too.
Later!
